The Cabanons district of Nouadhibou is a singular ecosystem, rich in animal and plant species, but increasingly under pressure from urban expansion and pollution. That decline hits local biodiversity directly: birds, algae, molluscs and fish are all seeing their habitat shrink sharply.
Faced with that, ASEB (Alliance pour la Sauvegarde de l Environnement et la Biodiversité), together with AEPN and the Lions Club, organised an Environment Day combining a clean-up of polluted sites with awareness workshops for around fifty children.
ASEB wanted to speak widely about these environmental issues and to show its initiative to the general public and to institutions.
To answer that need to communicate and raise awareness, WEBRIM stepped in to help ASEB, offering its video production work free of charge. We filmed and produced a complete, structured documentary of this important environment day, built on several pillars:
With this documentary, ASEB now has a strong communication tool for raising awareness at scale about the environmental issues facing Nouadhibou. The film honours the commitment of local people and carries the message of environmental protection to the general public, to institutions and to international partners.
